Safeguarding Standards - Self Assessment Guidance
Last updated: 15/10/2020
Bracknell Forest Safeguarding Board (BFSB) works to support its partners in order to ensure they are compliant with the safeguarding standards required to keep children safe, and:
- clearly and simply identify shared responsibilities for safeguarding children and young people
- provide tools to support assessment against agreed safeguarding standards that reflect the requirements of the Children Act 2004 and Education Acts 2002.
The Bracknell Forest Self-Assessment Safeguarding Tool is designed to help all organisations with this.
The NSPCC has produced an interactive tool for the Voluntary and Community Sector that is designed to help non-statutory organisations in the UK to strengthen their safeguarding and child protection arrangements. Although it is aimed at those working with children up to the age of 18 the principles of the safeguards described still apply to adults of all ages (although the legislative framework changes).
