Overview

The BFSB provides safeguarding E-Learning training courses for all partner organisations in Bracknell Forest including:

  • voluntary organisations
  • community organisations
  • faith-based organisations.

The training is hosted by Virtual College, one of the UK's leading E-Learning colleges. They worked closely with local safeguarding partnerships to develop the courses.

About the courses

All modules have:

  • interactive learning screens
  • learner challenges
  • progress tracking
  • online assessment

The courses follow the generally accepted continuous professional development (CPD) guidelines.

You can learn as quickly or as slowly as you like. You can do it in stages and save your work.

When you complete your course and the knowledge test, you will be able to print your own certificate.

You can revisit the module at any time to refresh your memory.

If you don't complete the course

You must tell your line manager if you plan to sign up for an E-Learning course.

This is because they will be charged if you do not complete the course.

Once you have registered you have 8 weeks to complete the module. If you haven't finished the module after 4 weeks, your manager will be sent an invoice for £30.

We do not recommend that managers or head teachers sign up all their staff for E-Learning; Staff should book these courses themselves.
